We are delighted to announce that Ertex Solar has won the contract to build the solar facade for the main attraction at the World Expo 2017 in Kazakhstan.

Expo 2017 will open in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan in June 2017 with around 2-3 million visitors from around the world expected to visit. In keeping with the core theme of the Exhibition - Energy of the Future - the 25-hectare Expo-City-area will be completely powered by wind and solar technology. The main attraction at the heart of the exhibition complex will be an 80 metre high, spherical, glass-steel construction with integrated wind turbines, called the Kazakh Pavilion.

Its 1,500-square-foot solar facade will be provided by Ertex Solar, specialists in BIPV (building integrated photovoltaics) once again demonstrating a strong global track record of innovative BIPV projects. Winning the Expo contract, Ertex Solar was able to prevail against five other international competitors.

Dieter Moor, Managing Director, attributes this particular success to the individual solutions Ertex Solar has to offer which, in contrast to standard Asian products, deliver near limitless flexibility and design freedom.
