We are delighted to see that our interior design project in Petersfield, Hampshire is almost complete.

The brief, to reconfigure an existing cellular kitchen, utility, study room and secondary staircase to provide a new open-plan kitchen and family room layout.

The late 19th century property is situated in a much sought after conservation area in Petersfield and enjoys stunning views. The original rooms exhibit generous spaces that address the setting in a traditional, yet sympathetic way. However, later extensions and interior adaptations lost this connection.

Our design reconfigured the previously extended and adapted spaces to reinstate the existing historic staircase as the principle vertical circulation, thus freeing up prime space to extend and reconfigure the ground floor within the existing footprint.

Ground and first floor reconfigurations provide a clear circulation route - following the natural light and the new open plan kitchen and family room now benefits from cross ventilation and maximises the stunning setting. Our kitchen layout has been executed by deVol with grey shaker style furniture complementing the style of the property.

Later fenestration changes were also reconfigured to provide new Crittal glazing sympathetic with the original character of this family home.
