House Extension Granted Planning in Haslemere, Surrey

Posted on January 9, 2014

We ended 2013 on a high with two of our projects being granted planning permission by Waverley Borough Council.

The concept for this contemporary extension to a Victorian property in Haslemere is to take advantage of the south-easterly garden views whilst maintaining privacy and controlling solar gain.

A double skin facade with timber brise soleil mirrors the rhythm of the timber clad shear walls facing the boundaries. To avoid overlooking glazing is limited to the garden views and a roof strip light, which will provide a constant source of daylight throughout the day. The extension in part replaces an existing 1960's lean to with well needed additional living and family space.
