ArchitectureLIVE has had a great start to the year as two new single storey house extensions in Haslemere have been granted planning permission by Waverley Borough Council for development by our team of Haslemere architects.

The architect’s model featured here shows the single-storey rear extension to a three-storey town house in Haslemere, which was first built around 1900 in an arts and crafts style.

The new contemporary extension features an open-plan kitchen and living space in part replacing an existing UPVc conservatory. The building materials will be a folded zinc-clad roof and rendered facades with generous full height windows to maximise the views into the garden.

The form and facade design of this Haslemere house extension were developed through 3D modelling and careful consideration of the southerly aspect and sun path to achieve optimal daylight and prevent overheating.
