Irene Konschill

DI MSc Architect RIBA arb

"I love the element of surprise which comes with the process of seeking out our client's uniques in our design.”

Irene has been a qualified architect for over 15 years. Originally from Vienna, Austria, her passion for inspirational design remains heavily influenced by her home town, a living example of the harmonious interrelation of new and old. She was educated at the Technical University of Vienna and the University of Portsmouth, where she gained her MSc in Architecture and the Environment in her pursuit of a bigger horizon.

Before founding ArchitectureLIVE, Irene had a leading role as an associate in a number of design practices. Amongst the practices was the notable Alison Brooks Architects where she was the lead project architect on the Sterling Prize winning scheme Accordia Cambridge and several other residential and private, one-off housing projects. She also designed Format Milton Architects’ winning Housing Design Award scheme Old Acre Road, created well-received school designs, mixed use projects and master planning as well as managing traditional building contracts.

Irene has a passion for inspirational design as the catalyst for our physical and emotional growth.

Jonathan Gratton

BA (Hons) DIPArch Architect RIBA arb

"There appear to be three groups of consultants within the construction industry. Those who have a very good understanding of technology, others that specialise in sustainability and finally those that are most passionate about design. We take a holistic approach, ensuring that none are implemented to the detriment of the other."

Jonathan has over 15 years’ experience working as a qualified architect and also trained as a BREEAM sustainability assessor and is pragmatic, value-adding approach to sustainability is integral to all our designs.

Over the years he has gained invaluable experience working on challenging sites and listed buildings with project values up to £40 million. He has managed and realised a variety of education projects, such as the new build secondary school, St Bartholomew's, and also taken up advisory roles for clients and Government on brief development and bid evaluations.

In the residential sector, he has designed and built high-end apartments for the second home market as well as developed master planning for large scale housing. His designs have been quoted to be amongst the most exclusive by agents, buyers and investors alike.
